Heii do you think it's dangerous to travel nepal on my own? (I'm a young woman...) Hi! It really depends. Even if you go to Nepal alone you’ll usually meet other travellers or you’ll go on trips with so it can be fine. You’ll most likely stay in the touristy parts of Nepal and you’ll always have other travellers nearby that you can befriend. Nepal is quite safe for foreigners even for lone female travellers. I know a few girls who went alone and ended up making lots of friends there and traveled with other people. But that being said you really have to be very careful and make sure you know where you are and take care of yourself. If you want to travel across Nepal all alone, I would not recommend it. Especially if you’re going hiking in the mountains always go with other people. Make sure you give your where abouts to your family back home and be sure to contact your embassy if something strange happens or you feel unsafe. I don’t know how helpful the police and local law enforcement are so I can’t say anything about them. Perhaps some of my female followers can add more comments to help you out.

We also have gai puja (cow festival) so is that sending message to everyone that eats beef to stop? The festival isn’t respecting dog’s friendship it’s celebrated as part of Tihar (Diwali) and it’s because dogs are considered to be the messenger of Yamaraj. It’s not wonderful. Other dogs ie Street dogs are treated terribly every other day. This isn’t a protest against China. Tihar has been going on for centuries. Stop twisting other people’s culture to fulfill your political agenda.

| About MeI grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature. InterestsI love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it. Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers. |
Aspirations
I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
