My good friend and his girlfriend did a wonderful cover of the song “Kehi Mitho Baat Gara” by the legendary Nepali singer Narayan Gopal. Thought I’d share it with you guys.

I think it would depend also on what you're doing and where you're from. I'm from Australia so paying $5 a night for a dorm in a hostel is quite cheap, not going to expensive restaurants while cut food cost. I doubt nepal is expensive unless you're staying in five star hotels. Yes that’s another thing. Nepal itself isn’t that expensive. The most expensive thing for me are the plane tickets which are about $2000 on average (from Canada). It’s a lot cheaper going to Nepal from Australia. Also I think when you’re there you’ll spend maybe $75-100 per week. That is if you have to get your own food and board etc. It also depends on whether you’re a female or not. Girls have to worry more about their safety while traveling. Even if you find a super cheap hostel, you have to make sure it’s safe. So max you’ll spend per day on a hotel/hostel in the city won’t be more than $15. Nepal is wonderful for budget traveling. You just have to plan you trip carefully.

Isn't it expensive to travel to Nepal frequently? Like how do you get money to be able to have those amazing trips? Yes it is quite expensive. I have my cost cut out for me because I don’t have to pay for room/board or food etc in Nepal. My main cost is plane tickets and things like that. Also Nepalis don’t have to pay as much as foreigners when getting passes and permits for mountains/national parks.

where would you like to visit next time you go to nepal? To the national parks and various base camps. I’d be hiking all over. Annapurna Base Camp + Jomsom + Manang +Mustang. Everest Base camp + Tengboche monastery + Namche Bazaar. Langtang National Park. Chitwan/Sauraha. Rara Lake and area. Langtang National Park.

| About MeI grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature. InterestsI love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it. Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers. |
Aspirations
I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
