How do your parents feel about inter-racial marriage? I'm a nepali and my parents are dead set against me marrying out of our race but the problem is...i can neither can't picture myself with a nepali guy nor find a decent nepali guy at where i live. - ps apologises it is not that my parents are racist or phobic of other races but they would like me to find a groom that shares a common culture/traditions/language so they can converse/interact with comfortably. Hi there! I’d like to apologize for the late reply. Been a bit too busy these days. Anyways, my parents are a bit rare with their views as far as Nepali parents are concerned. They’re totally fine with inter-racial marriage, as long as I’m marring a good person with similar views and a promising future, who will love and respect me and my family etc…things I, personally would look for in a person. They would, however, prefer it if I married a Nepali so that they could share a common culture and tradition like you mentioned above. That’s totally understandable. And like yourself, I know 0 Nepali guys apart from people I’m related to. But yeah they’re okay with inter-racial marriage, which is not a very common thing for most Nepali parents. Sorry, I couldn’t be of much help. I’m sure there’s tons of people that follow me that are going through the same thing you are. Perhaps, they will reply to this post. :)

| About MeI grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature. InterestsI love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it. Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers. |
I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
