Masali was depressed for a good part of her married life. Not because of abuse, not because of her quality of life. She herself doesn’t know how it happened but when she came to consciousness again, she found her family in shambles, knee deep in debt and in complete mess. In the years that followed, she has transformed herself into a successful agricultural entrepreneur and actually leads a women’s co-work financing organization. She is every sense a fighter, a survivor and most of all a provider.

There are children in Nepal with eyes that know and can understand more than most adults of developed countries. They have experienced and live amidst conditions darker and faced hardships we could never comprehend.

And yet they are happy. Their eyes do not turn their souls bitter. Life in the valleys of the great Himalaya grows beautifully and is unadorned with excess. And it is this simplicity in living from your own hands that breeds people of the most genuine human nature.
