To the people who sent me a message to post their GoFundMe campaign to go to Nepal and help rebuild it: I will not be posting it on this blog or any other blog. I believe rather than raising money for someone to travel from the West, you can just donate that money (usually in thousands of dollars) to an institution in Nepal that already has people on ground working at rebuilding. Volunteering is great but if you’re raising and spending thousands of dollars from donations on tickets, then I’m not sure it’s the best way of going about it. I’m sure you guys have good intentions and really do want to help rebuild Nepal, I have no doubt about that, but I cannot post your message.

Hello! I have a question. I know Dalit refers to the lower caste in India but does it have the same meaning in Nepal? I'm not sure because I was raised in the states. This whole time I thought Dalit was a hindi word but I saw you reblog that post so now I'm not quite sure. Thanks!!

Yes the same name is used to describe the “lower caste” or “untouchables” in Nepal. Dalits are hugely discriminated against in Nepal as well and suffer a lot of injustices.

About Me

I grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature.

Interests

I love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it.

Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers.

Aspirations

I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
