my best friends's dad described Nepal to me as a country where "there's nothing interesting really, just mountains everywhere" and i felt personally offended, i wanted to say "nooo why?? you've been there and you don't even thinks its that important!" oh how i hope i could visit someday, i definitely would have a lot more to say. although he did say that he remembers the Nepali people, "poor and silent and very proud" “Nothing interesting”? Was he wearing a blind-fold while travelling? Also, I don’t think his generalization regarding the Nepali people is fair. Thing is, Nepali isn’t your classic mainstream tourist destination with white sand beaches and bright blue ocean..you get the picture. So your average Joe isn’t going to be interested. When I was hiking in Nepal, I was on this steep hill in the middle of the monsoon downpour, soaked from head to toe, with hornets the size of my index finger buzzing around, and snakes and leeches…after a couple of hours I finally got to the summit, and it felt like death. I LOVED every second of it..wouldn’t trade it for the world. Nepal is for the open-minded adventure hunting traveler…not necessarily for the tourist.

| About MeI grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature. InterestsI love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it. Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers. |
I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
