Thank you so much.. so saying 'oi nunu garisake you' would be like saying go to sleep to a child? And do you know what 'sutiaakeko kali' means? Not quite. “oi nunu garisake” (you don’t need to add the ‘you’ in the end) would be like saying “hey I’ve slept already”. If you wanna say “go to sleep” to a child, you say “oi nunu gara” (nu-nu gaa-ra), which in the literal sense is like saying “hey, do sleep”. Instead of “sutiaakeko kali”, I think you meant to say “sutirakheko kali”. Kali is a term of endearment referring to girls with a darker skin tone (although some people might find it offensive if you call them Kali). In that phrase you are describing the girl, so “sutirakheko kali” means “the kali that is sleeping [currently]”. I hope that makes sense!

Hello.. would you be able to tell me what 'garisake' and 'nunu' mean in nepali? Thank you! Hi! :) “garisake” is I’ve already done it. “nunu” is to sleep, but you only say it to little kids. For example, in English, it would be like saying “go night-night” to a child, but you wouldn’t really say that to an adult.

| About MeI grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature. InterestsI love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it. Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers. |
Aspirations
I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
