Hello! Do you have any recommendations of things to take to Nepal? Like baby wipes, outlet adapters ect. I'm going for the first time since I was a kid so I don't remember much 😭 Also, will I be able to wear dresses up to my knee? My family in Nepal aren't too conservative but I also don't want to come off as disrespectful to them. Thank you!!

Hi! I answered a similar question. I’ll copy and paste it here (because I really need to update theme of this blog to be not so shitty and unreadable…i’ll get to it…eventually!)

#1 Item: CAMERA! Be sure to take a face mask with you because Kathmandu is very polluted. Also, bug spray (insect repellent) and a flash light for the power outages. There are a lot of mosquitoes buzzing around during this season. Be careful what/where you eat/drink. Be especially careful about the water you drink…I drank only bottled mineral water (or boiled and filtered water at home) during my stay. I would advice staying away from foods that are sold by street vendors or sketchy looking restaurants. I luckily did not get sick, but a lot of people do. An umbrella, as well, because it’s the monsoon season..but you can buy those in the city for a ridiculously low price. Also Baby wipes and hand sanitizer and sunscreen lotions I’m assuming you are going to be staying in Thamel (edit: this applies to any other region as well)..but either way, do not give any money to the street kids/beggars. They will most probably spend the money on drugs, and if you give money to one kid the whole group will come asking you for more. I also took the travel outlet adapters because plug-ins in Nepal are different than North America or Europe.

As for clothes, you’ll see people walking around in Kathmandu in Booty shorts and spaghetti straps. It’s not uncommon, and I’m not saying you should do the same thing but you should be fine with dresses up to your knees (or even a bit shorter). People walk around in shorts all the time during the summer, BUT I didn’t wear shorts (even though I took some with me) because people kept starting at me while I was walking on the streets? I didn’t feel comfortable but that’s just me. When you go to family’s place etc then I think it should be fine. T-shirts or tank tops and shorts/capris/dresses/skirts etc are ideal for summer months. Don’t think it would be disrespectful to your family. Enjoy your time!! :) 

Hey, thank you for this blog :)) I was wondering where I can find new/ trending nepali music, with bollywood its soo easy bc its popular (thers saavn too) but its difficult to find nepali songs and i wasn't raised on nepali films unfortunately even though i am nepali :/ thanks!
