Sweet and sour Mango Pickle/ Aapko murabba/ Aap ko gulio achar

lifejournalised:

If you are someone who likes sweet and sour flavour then you have got to try this. I remember how every mango season my mother would be busy cooking up batches and batches of this delicious pickle and after keeping aside what we would need, the rest of it would be distributed to friends and family. That was how popular it was !! Me and my cousins just loved this and although it does have quite a bit of sugar just a spoonful is enough with a meal. Justified!!!

Last year I got my supply from Nepal but seeing that Mango is so easily available here in Singapore I think I will just be making my own from now on. Lucky for me, my mom in law is here visiting us so I am able to learn all her kitchen secrets now. I have used her recipe for this as well.

About Me

I grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature.

Interests

I love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it.

Check out my photo gallery to get a glimpse into where I have been. And drop me a line if want to find out more. I always love to hear from fellow travelers.

Aspirations

I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
