Namaste! I am looking to travel next year to Kathmandu. Just wondering if you could give any advice on best time of year to travel and also any advice for a lone female traveler? :) Cheers

Namaste! Usually I’d recommend travelling around either fall (late September/early October) during Dashain/Tihar (Diwali) festival OR spring (late February/early March) around Holi time. The weather is perfect, and you get to be part of the biggest Nepalese festivals.

As for advice for a lone female traveler, I went to Nepal with a group of friends so I don’t know much about it. But Tate traveled to Nepal on her own and will be happy to help you out, I’m sure :)

I grew up in a small town helping my parents on their farm. There I developed my love for nature and a desire to explore. Now I travel around the world photographing nature.

Interests

I love to travel. I have been everywhere, from Alaska to Zimbabwe. For every trip I keep a travel log of my adventures and capture the world as I see it.
