Changa Chait (चंगा चैट)

A term popularly used for a kite flying gala in Nepal, ‘Changa Chait’ remarks the start of one of the most important festivals in Nepal – Dashain. The 15 day long festival has its roots to the books of Hindu mythology. Whether it is with the Durga killing Mahisasura or the return of Lord Ram after the death of Rawan, the festival symbolizes good’s win over evil. People celebrate Dashain by playing cards with their family members, eating delicious delicacies and flying kites.

They say you have to leave ground once in a year. So, during Nepali greatest festival Dashain people swing and leave the ground for a while.
